Happy Home is a Swiss not-for-profit organization whose goal is to help Tibetan refugee children in Kathmandu, Nepal. We help the children attain a decent standard of living through education, Tibetan language training and preservation of Tibetan culture. Our local representative, Lhakpa Dhondup Shresta, who lives in a working-class neighbourhood, is taking care of the children, who are mainly orphans or half-orphans.

When we help a child, we try to support him/her for the duration of his/her education, when possible.

Our organization also has an emergency fund that allows us to occasionally help certain disadvantaged inhabitants of Kathmandu.

Our small structure enables us to guarantee efficient use of, and strict control over, our spending. All money raised goes directly to Nepal. We cover administrative costs.
